France
My first thought when seeing the word was 'home' but the more i think about it, the more it's not. Too many things happening there that i'm not happy about, and i cringe every time i hear the president's name on the news. Toulouse is my home. That's the part of France i miss, the central square, the churches, the movie theaters, the small, stone paved pedestrian streets, the river. But the last timer i went, i couldn't recognize my city. They were digging all over the place to make new subway lines, they had closed some streets off to circulation except for buses, other streets were one way only, there was a freaking building in the middle of one of the largest avenues. And it just hurt.

drabbles
I like round numbers. I've always liked round numbers. 100 is a beautiful number, me thinks. And the challenge to tell a self-contained story in that few words? Oh yeah. Did i mention i like challenges too? I wish more people would prompt me when i offer drabbles.

writing
The first story i ever wrote was called 'Starlight' (Story in French but English title). Starlight was a spaceship that functioned kind of like a monarchy. I can't remember the name of my heroine but the story started on her - and her long-lost twin brother's - 15th birthday. I was 14.

romance
If you'd told me when i wrote Starlight that i'd end up writing romance novels i'd have laughed in your face. I didn't even read a romance novel until i started trying to get one published. Working wit the Alinar ladies is great, I'm having a lot of fun with it, but as i get ready to have book # 30 released, i don't see myself doing it forever. I'm always afraid to repeat myself - and i'm afraid i've started doing that in some cases. I guess that's why i'm trying my hand at YA and fantasy.

anything beginning with 'k'
My first thought was kantayra, and how flattered i always was when someone thought i was her back in the good old days when we wrote in the same fandom. I'm very lucky to have her as my friend and i can't wait to see her at Writercon.
Second was just_kumi. And damn if i don't miss her. She popped up on my yahoo list the other day and i IM'ed her like a lunatic - with no answer. I figure she was checking her email, and the new gizmo on there broadcast to the world that she was online. I should email her but to say what? Say again that i miss her? I'm not a stalker, am i?
Then i thought of Kate, which is the character from a story i'm writing at the moment. I like Kate. She's fun and spunky and very much not me. And i'm going to torture her mercilessly before i'm done.
What else starts with K... Kermitt the frog? Don't care much about it. Kansas? Never been there. Nor to Kyoto. I guess i'd like to, some day.
